I bought this dress 2 days before a fundraising event, praying that it would come in the knick of time and fit to what Amazon said was the sizing. It came the morning of, and I loved it the moment I tried it on! It looks exactly like the picture, in which you can see the dark purple/blue tint to the gray. The dress is soft, especially since the chest and lack lace is lined with a nude fabric. When I say nude fabric, I don't mean like pantyhose. I wore a black bra under the dress, and you could even see it AT ALL!I do have to say, this dress look ugly and tent-like on the hangar. But, when you put it on, it is adream! It made me look and feel beautiful and skinny. It's fun and flirty and perfect for cooler weather because of the lining and the 3/4-length sleeves.I was initially very concerned for the length, as I'm picky about dress/skirt length for myself. I like at or slightly below my knee, and would have sent it back if it hadn't met that criteria. The underskirt comes to just above the knee (at least in mine, which was a 2x), but the lace overlay gave it that extra inch or two to be absolutely perfect! I'm 5'10" so I often find this issue with dress that would be knee-length in average or shorter women, but hoochie for me.I can't say enough about how perfect this dress was for me, and I will definitely be wearing it again!Every time I wear this dress, I get a ton of compliments. It’s comfortable and I can wear it all night without feeling like I want to change. It is slightly snug in the arms and across the shoulders, but not in a bad way. I am extremely large chested, so for a more normal size chest it won’t be snug.ColorI bought this dress for the fall wedding season and I've really enjoyed wearing it. It's comfortable and stretchy but it doesn't look like a casual, comfy dress. My skin tone is the same as the "nude" lining under the chest area so it looks natural next to the arms (which have no lining), but I would imagine it would look off on very pale or darker skin tones.I find this dress to be very flattering on my frame. I ordered the 2x since I'm a 1x on top and a 2x from the waist down, and it fits perfectly. I did have the dress hemmed up about 1.5". I am 5'8" and it hit below the knee which felt too long to me. Since this depends a lot on height, leg length, and preference I didn't take off any stars but I think it might be much too long on shorter ladies.The quality is good and the dress is appropriate for a variety of occasions. I have received many compliments wearing the dress and am really happy with my purchase.This is a very pretty dress once it is on. [I was a little underwhelmed when I took it out of the package, but I liked it once I had it on.] I ordered based on the given sizing chart, but I was on the higher end of the sizing allowances for the dress I ordered and should have gone up a size. It didn't LOOK tight or ill-fitting, but it was close fitting and I was worried that I would tear the lace if I wore it out. I like that it has a nude fabric panel at the top of the dress under the lace. This is a pull-over-your-head sort of dress with no zippers, buttons, or snaps. I liked it, overall! Just wish I would have ordered the next size up!Great dress, super flattering, especially for chesty ladies. Only weird thing is this must have been a return because it had a Nordstrom sticker on it, with a cheaper price too.This dress looked frumpy when I took it out of the package, but when I slipped it over my head and onto my body, it fit amazingly. I ordered a 2x and the dress was true to size. it covered up my problem areas (love handles and gut), with some extra ruffles, near the mid section area. You can also adjust those areas a little bit (and by adjusting I just mean you can move them around in that general area, not detach them). I'm 5'7" and the dress came down about 2 inches from my knees, the crazy about blue dress color is exactly how the color online looks, or a tiny bit darker, in certain light. It's a beautiful dress, its light and comfortable, and i'm excited to wear it for my wedding in 3 weeks.I bought this dress for a wedding. I bought my size 18 (1x) and it was pretty tight in the chest. so I returned it and bought a 2x. This one fits my bust area perfectly but a little loose everywhere else, which was fine. For the price of the dress I expected the stitching around the waist/skirt to be done a little better. It doesn't lay flat and it is because of the bunching around the edge. It doesn't look bad so I am keeping it but I did notice it.The return process was fast and easy so no complaints there.
