It's also perfect for people who don't take themselves seriously at all.This ashtray is gaudy as heck, but it's also really cute and it has a solid feel to it that says that it won't just fall apart on me. The tray/cover part flips into ashtray configuration with just a touch at the bottom of the ring to shift its balance and make it flip. When you close that lid, the ashes dump out into the body of the globe. The lid removes easily for cleaning.I saw a couple of questions about color, so I included a close up detail shot of the lid of the light blue-green globe. There's a little bit of dark green detailing on the leaves, and some orangey-red detailing on the roses. The detailing on the flowers is little more subtle in person than it appears in my picture.I think what I like most about it is that it doesn't look like an ashtray when the lid is closed, and that with the lid closed, all smell is also kept inside.
