Wore this to my daughters wedding and received so many compliments. It’s very flattering. I had about 3” taken off and had a bow added to the back to keep the shoulders from slipping of when dancing. Love the flow and fit. I wore my regular size in this dressBeautiful, very classy dress! Very flattering fit! I am 5’3 and did have to have it hemmed 3 inches, but then it was perfect! Would buy again!Just gorgeous and flattering, fabric is soft not clingy and hangs like a million bucks! Can’t wait to wear it for a semi-formal wedding…I bought this dress for my sons wedding. Fits like a glove just had to have it shortened a bit. Dress is very comfortable and looks great.This gown is a beautiful color and looks good on. Had it come in a petite size, it would have been perfect. I ended up returning it, because of the length. I thought I could pull it off, but even with high heels, it still made it difficult to walk.After spending nearly a year browsing dresses, I’d almost given up on finding the perfect Mother of the Bride gown. I finally contacted the fantastic Amazon Prime Try Before You Buy program and just asked them to send me a few to try on that they selected. I admit that I wouldn’t have even tried this dress on because I’m a heavy woman and this seemed to be made for slimmer ladies. But I tried it on the day it arrived, and we all just fell in love with it! My husband couldn’t take his eyes off me! Our daughter, the bride, proclaimed it to be “The Dress” and it even received a compliment from our teenage son, proving that it is, in fact, a miracle gown!This dress arrived the day before leaving for my daughter's wedding. It was the best of all of the many dresses, nothing needed to be altered..thank goodness. I'm 5'6" and wore the size 16. My fashionista girls (30 and 32 yrs old) were very complimentary of the dress. It was a lovely dress, well made, hung well and the eggplant color flattering.Wore this to my son’s wedding. Dressy and just right for a mother of the groom dress. The style is very flattering. I’m a plus size and found the sizing true to size. No need to size up. My favorite thing is that I was so comfortable all day. No pulling, tucking, adjusting or feeling the need to hold your tummy in. I wore a strapless bra but no tummy control products needed. Highly recommend!!This dress is shockingly flattering given my recent experience with a purchase from Alex Evenings. It is not matronly or frumpy, actually quite flattering especially if you have a smaller bodice and hips for days :) flattering a line for all body types. You can add a belt to the grey one for added shaping. I like the dress but considering a different colour. The grey glitter dress leaves glitters EVERYWHERE - not a deal breaker if you don’t mind leaving some angel dust. I think I will just get a different colour but excellent purchase. Also, the size 10 petite was too big for me! Awww… Alex Evenings, you flatter a girl. Down to size 8 petite then.The picture in the ad doesn't quite show the sparkle in the dress. It is very beautiful - very formal.Se ve bien en la foto pero es demasiado grande y menos lindo.Even with a built in bra, which usually never fit me properly. Very happy with my purchase! I wear 38DD cup, so not easy to fit. I can also wear my bra and I definitely need to!This has been purchased for Mother of Groom. Have not worn yet but know I will be very comfortable in it. I like the ruching in back as it hides any bulges from bra.
