I was torn about which rug to get for my hallway. I am so glad I picked this one. The rug arrived quickly and was rolled up in a box. I removed the rug and rolled it out across my hallway. I was happy to see the rich deep blue (NOT NAVY) with the brown accents that work well with my hardwood floor. True to size listed. This carpet is soft and does not feel cheap. Its a great value for your money. I have an old dog who kept slipping on the tile and a young pup sliding around on the hardwood hallway. This runner allows better footing for my older dog and the puppy loves sitting on the carpet. Do not hesitate to get this runner / area rug, it is great. You might need a area gripper, I however do not seem to have a problem with it staying in place. I decided to wait and see if a gripper was necessary, but so far I do not need it.There is another review that mentions that you need to wait a day or two for the rug to "settle". That is because the rug comes rolled up. The end that is rolled up the tightest has some bumps in it for a few days. I did not need to put anything down or do anything to smooth it out. Just the passage of time. No weird smells on the rug and it is soft to the touch of hands and bare feet.
