TLDR: Its a great value and very pretty. So I wasn't sure what size to get and went to look online and lots of advice of it's better to get too big. The rug was to go under my dining table. I even saw a calculator of sorts suggesting to get around 2 feet bigger than your table. Now, I have a townhome, open concept, but I do have an area that is where the dining "room" is to be. The original rug was way too big (9x12). I was going to return it and even somehow got it back in the original shipping plastic. (If you like to camp, then you know it's like getting a cheap tent back in the storage bag, which never seems to be big enough. So this was a huge accomplishment.) I ordered the next size down (7x10) which is perfect. BTW, to return wasn't a big deal. Just bring to a UPS store. *shrug*Turns out the rug is so nice, my mom doesn't want me to send the large one back, but wants to use it at our vacation home. Yay!The one in my dining room is pretty. I don't love the fringe either. I was hoping you could remove it, but the edge under the fringe is not finished the same. So stuck with the fringe. It doesn't look bad per se, but it doesn't like to lie flat and is a pain when vacuuming and god forbid the vacuum damages it. Eek! I might turn the brush off when I vacuum that part. Hope it doesn't get damaged. My friend was over the other day and she doesn't have the same taste as me (She likes modern, minimalism stuff) but she thought the rug was "beautiful." My taste is old soul, turn of the century (the 20th one!) and Arts and Crafts and I felt this rug was very suiting and it ended up matching the striped fabric on my dining chair seats.I like that it isn't super plush. But it is thick enough and feels nice underfoot. Most of all, it is a great value. I don't know where you can get a huge 9x10 rug for around 250.Note: I got the "brown" color. The brown is a little bit olivey in color as some have noted. It's sort of if you crossed cocoa and olive. The next most prevalent colors are 1. a tan with a hint of a mustard tint, and 2. cream. Then the red which is fairly muted and pleasant. Someone was upset about the brightness of the blue color, but I would say there is so little of the blue color that once the furniture is on there, it really isn't noticeable. (It doesn't "pop") But their assessment that it was more of a pale teal/aqua blue is accurate. I like it. I think all the colors are very pretty and they match my home perfectly. I think the most accurate representation on my computer screen is the photo of the whole rug. But I know everyone's is different.
