An Eastern Star chapter I was visiting requested all the officers wear white gowns so I scrambled around looking for something that didn't look like a wedding dress. This fit the occasion perfectly even though it is actually a lovely creamy white. I matched it with some sparkly silver shoes and it looked great! The dress even looks good without the jacket but it is very sheer so all the beads and sequins show through anyway. I think it looks better with the jacket on than without it.I used a steamer on the skirt and all the shipping wrinkles went away easily and it didn't rewrinkle anywhere from sitting or moving. However, you will need to use lots of anti-static spray on the underskirt or wear a slip because it clings a lot. However, it is not see through in any way, so a slip is not necessary except for the static issue. This dress is also longer than the photo shows - I am 5'9" and it just skimmed my ankles, which was perfect for me.I felt absolutely beautiful and elegant all day when I was wearing this and got lots of nice compliments. It moves beautifully and I would guess it would be lovely for dancing as a dress for mother of a bride or groom. I plan to buy more dresses from this company if all their dresses are as nice as this one turned out to be.
