It is snug. Very snug. I have a gut, so it is tight for me. I think it's supposed to have an empire effect, but my waist is so long that it just looks awkward on me. I'm short, so the length is perfect. The fabric is not luxe, but good enough for work. Do wear a slip underneath if you plan to be in the sunshine. When I lose a few pounds, this dress is gonna be an awesome work outfit.
