These are very soft and very affordable. I don't understand people who expect the world for this kind of money. Yes, they are thinner that some sheets, but not transparent, so i'm cool. They're EXTREMELY SOFT, which is typcial of egyptian cotton, so if you're someone who likes crisp cotton shirt material for sheets, this is not for you. I like a soft, smooth, cool sheet to sleep on, and these fit the bill. I'm a sheet freak and probably have about 30 sets of all kinds. My bed is my haven and I like it to always look good and feel good, so I can't say how well these sheets will hold up for someone looking to have them be their only set, or one of a few. I change bedding styles every six weeks( sheets taken up sometimes twice a week) so I'm always looking for the right sheet and color to match whatever duvet is going on the bed. Some people think I'm nuts, but it's how I was raised. Anyway, as I bore everyone to tears, these fit the bill and I would gladly purchase more. Glad to find them.
