I was looking for a well priced 9' fiberglass ribbed umbrella and this fit the bill. (Everything fiberglass ribbed I could find locally and online was significantly more costly than this) But so far, so good! Seems sturdy. It sits in the center of my deck dining table set, with a 65lb iron stand underneath. The umbrella hole on my table is fitted to the width of this umbrella with bumpers, so it is held very snug at table height 29". The pole doesn't budge in the wind, no wobbling around. While the umbrella is open, it is had held up well on windy bbq days, I have no fear of it lifting or moving. The crank & tilt mechanisms are easy to operate. We use it mostly for sun shade or slight rain drizzle when we are sitting at the table outside. (Note: I do always close my umbrella and tie it closed, if there is inclement weather in the forecast, so I don't have feedback regarding this open umbrella on very windy / rainy days, as we don't usually sit outside then)
