I had planned on buying a used mattress off of one of the popular local sales pages but a friend pointed out a huge risk of doing this... BED BUGS! So I decided to buy brand new instead. What appealed to me was it fit my $100 budget and the fact that the covering provided for some water resistance since I have 2 dogs and 2 cats. I always use a mattress protector but the extra layer of protection on the mattress itself can’t hurt. Originally it seemed like one side of my mattress was scrunched up but it eventually flattened out pretty well. When I laid on it I was suprisee that it was actually pretty comfortable! Originally this was just a “I need something in my spare bedroom to cuten it up,” but now I would totally sleep on it if my husband was keeping me up snoring in our bedroom! Ps— my dog sometimes scratches into mattresses when she’s playing around and in excitement mode and this one help up to her scratch tactics.
